General information

Accordion is a private equity value creation partner based in New York City. It works with PE firms and their portfolio companies on corporate and strategic finance, M&A execution, public company readiness, turnaround and restructuring, and AI and CFO technology and data tools.

Nick Leopard, a former Bear Stearns investment banker, started Accordion in 2009. Motive Partners bought FFL Partners' stake in September 2022, so the firm is now owned by Charlesbank Capital Partners and Motive Partners. Accordion has grown to more than 1,200 employees across 10 offices in North America, plus India and UK operations.
