Soroush Salehian and Mina Rezk, who had worked at Apple, founded Aeva on December 5, 2016. The company went public on the NYSE under ticker AEVA in 2021, through a merger with InterPrivate Acquisition Corp. Aeva had about 300 employees as of 2023. In 2024 it signed a $1 billion agreement with Daimler Truck for its Atlas sensors. That matters because it shows a big truck maker is betting on Aeva's sensors for real production, not just testing.
