Anaplan provides an AI-driven platform for enterprise planning and analysis. It offers Anaplan Intelligence, role-based AI agents, and planning applications for finance, supply chain, sales, HR, and retail. Its software runs on a patented in-memory database called Hyperblock. The company is based in Miami.
Anaplan was founded in 2006 in Yorkshire, England, by Guy Haddleton, Sue Haddleton, and Michael Gould. It went public on the NYSE in 2018 and acquired the analytics company Mintigo in 2019. In June 2022, the private equity firm Thoma Bravo bought the company, taking it private again. Anaplan now serves more than 2,800 customers worldwide. That matters: since Thoma Bravo took over in 2022, Anaplan no longer answers to public shareholders and can put more money into long-term bets like AI agents.
