Pio, launched in 2022, is a compact version sold as a robot-as-a-service subscription. CarouselAI, developed with Berkshire Grey in 2025, is an AI-powered picking system. The company is based in Nedre Vats, Norway, and its systems run in nearly 1,950 installations across more than 60 countries.
Jakob Hatteland founded AutoStore in 1995. Private equity firms EQT and Thomas H.
