AutoStore
Hiring · 31 open jobsGeneral information
AutoStore builds automated storage and retrieval systems for warehouses, using a cube-based grid where robots retrieve bins and bring them to workers. Pio, launched in 2022, is a compact version sold as a robot-as-a-service subscription. CarouselAI, developed with Berkshire Grey in 2025, is an AI-powered picking system. The company is based in Nedre Vats, Norway, and its systems run in nearly 1,950 installations across more than 60 countries.
Jakob Hatteland founded AutoStore in 1995. Private equity firms EQT and Thomas H. Lee Partners bought and resold the company through 2019, and SoftBank later bought a 40% stake before AutoStore went public on the Oslo Stock Exchange in 2021. That history matters: after years under private equity owners focused on growth, the company now answers to public shareholders like any listed business.
Currently, there's a total of 35 job openings at AutoStore. Over the last 30 days, 36 jobs were added and 7 were removed (job postings usually stay up ~14 days before being removed).1
