Away is a direct-to-consumer retailer that sells luggage and travel accessories online and through its own stores. Its product lines include Flex, Topside, Hardside and Softside luggage, plus bags and other travel accessories. Away is based in New York, United States.

Away was founded on November 9, 2015, by Jen Rubio and Steph Korey. By 2018, it had grown to more than 200 employees, with projected revenue above $150 million. In May 2019, it raised $100 million in Series C funding, reaching a $1.4 billion valuation. That valuation showed investors were treating a suitcase company like a fast-growing tech startup.1
