The company was founded in June 2004 as Mansef by Stephane Manos and Ouissam Youssef. Ethical Capital Partners acquired it on March 16, 2023, and now owns it privately. Aylo had about 1,400 employees as of 2016 and reported US$460 million in revenue in 2021. Real revenue and a private-equity owner make this a mainstream media business, not a fringe site.1
