Andrew T. Berlin and his father founded the company in 1988. It operates more than 130 sales offices and warehouses around the world.
Oak Hill Capital Partners bought a majority stake in the company in 2014 for $1.43 billion. Berlin Packaging has completed more than 50 acquisitions since 2000, so growth here has come largely through buying up other packaging distributors rather than only opening new branches.
