Blue Current was established in 2014 in Berkeley, California, and moved to its current headquarters in Hayward, California, in 2019. It has secured $81 million in Series D funding anchored by Amazon, and its pilot production line is now manufacturing 2Ah cells, a sign the technology is moving from lab to factory floor.
