General information

Care.com runs an online marketplace that connects families with childcare, senior care, care for people with special needs, home care, tutoring, and pet care providers. It operates in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Western Europe.

Sheila Lirio Marcelo founded Care.com in 2007, after she had trouble finding care for her own children and aging parents. The company raised $111 million in venture funding, then went public on January 24, 2014 under the ticker CRCM, at $22.55 per share. IAC acquired Care.com in February 2020 for $500 million. Today it has 515 employees, and the company is now owned by IAC rather than running as an independent business.

Currently, there's a total of 67 job openings at Care.com. Over the last 30 days, 79 jobs were added and 12 were removed (job postings usually stay up ~8 days before being removed). Care.com is a top-tier H-1B sponsor.1
