Students get certified teacher support and live virtual lessons. The school also offers college and career readiness programs and special education services. It operates across the United States.
Sylvan Ventures started the school in 2001, with Barbara Dreyer as founder. Pearson Education bought it in 2011 for more than $400 million. Connections Academy now has more than 100,000 students enrolled across more than 30 state-specific programs.1
