Dane and Travis Boersma founded Dutch Bros in 1992 in Grants Pass, Oregon, starting with a single pushcart after their family dairy farm ran into trouble. The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021, raising $484 million. It had about 17,000 employees in 2024 and runs 1,002 locations across the US in 2025. That's a long way from a single pushcart on a struggling dairy farm.1
