Factorial Energy develops solid-state battery technology, based in Billerica, United States. It builds batteries for electric vehicles, defense applications, and AI and robotics systems. Its core product is a solid-state battery designed to be 80% drop-in compatible with existing lithium-ion production lines, so it can fit into current manufacturing. Automakers and equipment makers are its customers.

Factorial Energy has done more than 10 years of research and development and recently expanded into aerospace applications. It has filed over 150 patent applications and demonstrated a battery range of more than 1,200 km on a single charge. The company has partnerships with Mercedes-Benz and Stellantis. That range would let an electric car go much farther on one charge than is typical today, which is why carmakers are already testing it.
