Funding Circle was founded in August 2010 by three University of Oxford friends: Samir Desai, James Meekings and Andrew Mullinger. It became a public company in September 2018, listing on the London Stock Exchange and raising about £300 million. It has lent £18 billion to UK businesses and supported more than 135,000 of them. Three friends built a company that now lends billions of pounds to small businesses across the UK. Funding Circle is an H-1B sponsor.1
