The site also sells tickets to tourist attractions, so people can skip ticket lines. Its customers are tourists planning trips, and the local guides and attraction operators who list their services on the platform.
GetYourGuide was founded in 2009 in Zurich, Switzerland, by five co-founders including Johannes Reck. It is a privately held company. It reached €1 billion in annual sales with more than 1,000 employees, and reported a profit for the first time in October 2025.
