General information

Hasbro makes and sells toys, games, and other entertainment products. Its brands include Transformers, G.I. Joe, Monopoly, Peppa Pig, Furby, Nerf, Play-Doh, and My Little Pony. The company is based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Hasbro was founded on December 6, 1923, as Hassenfeld Brothers, by Henry, Hillel, and Herman Hassenfeld in Providence, Rhode Island. It grew through acquisitions: Milton Bradley in 1984, Tonka Corp in 1991, Wizards of the Coast in 1999, and Entertainment One in 2019. Hasbro is a public company on Nasdaq under the ticker HAS, part of the S&P 500. As of 2025, it had about 4,600 employees and $4.7 billion in revenue. That matters because Hasbro's growth came less from inventing new toys and more from buying other toy and entertainment companies outright. Hasbro is an H-1B sponsor.1
