Laurence Lewin and Irving Teitelbaum founded La Senza in 1990. In January 2019, the private equity firm Regent LP bought the company and still owns it today. La Senza employed over 2,000 people worldwide as of 2019. The sale moved the brand from independent ownership to a private equity portfolio company.¹
