General information

Magnet Forensics builds software for digital investigations, used by law enforcement and corporate security teams to recover and analyze evidence. Graykey and Verakey extract data from mobile devices. Axiom, Axiom Cyber and Nexus are platforms for collecting and analyzing that evidence. The company is based in Waterloo, Canada, and serves more than 5,000 customers in over 100 countries.

Jad Saliba and Adam Belsher founded the company in 2011. It merged with Grayshift, founded in 2016 and known for Graykey, in 2023. That merger combined phone-unlocking technology with forensic analysis software under one roof, broadening the toolset staff and customers work with.1
