MasTec is an infrastructure engineering and construction company. It builds, installs and maintains energy, utility and communications systems for large clients. Its Clean Energy & Infrastructure line builds solar, wind and battery storage projects, while MasTec EVi installs electric vehicle charging stations and its Pipeline Infrastructure business builds pipelines. The company is based in Coral Gables, Florida.

MasTec was founded on March 11, 1994 by Jorge Mas Canosa. Today Jorge and Jose Mas together own about 21% of the company, which trades on the NYSE under ticker MTZ. Jose Mas is CEO and Jorge Mas is chairman. The company has a workforce of nearly 22,000, so a new hire joins a large, family-linked organization rather than a small startup.
