The company is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and serves more than 20 million bank accounts.
Tosin Eniolorunda and Felix Ike founded the company in June 2015, originally as TeamApt. It became Africa's eighth unicorn in October 2024, valued at more than 1 billion dollars. The platform now processes 17 billion dollars in transactions every month, a scale that means engineering and operations teams handle high-volume financial infrastructure.1
