Hiring · 52 open jobsGeneral information
Osmo is an AI company based in Elizabeth, United States. It builds custom fragrances for brands using its Osmo Studio platform. Users type words, upload images, or describe ideas, and the platform generates custom fragrance formulas in real time. The company also supports sampling and production for the scents it creates.
Osmo spun out of Google Brain in 2022. It was founded by Alex Wiltschko, building on his olfactory neuroscience research. By 2026, the company had grown to more than 100 employees across New Jersey and Boston, with a 58,000 square foot research facility. That means a research project on how the brain processes smell has become a real company making scents for other brands.1
