OU Health is the University of Oklahoma's academic health system, providing hospital and clinic care in Oklahoma. Its Stephenson Cancer Center is Oklahoma's only cancer center with a National Cancer Institute designation. The Harold Hamm Diabetes Center focuses on diabetes treatment, and Oklahoma Children's OU Health provides care for children. OU Health is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
OU Health was formed in 2020, when OU Medicine merged with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. It is a nonprofit organization, and in 2018 it had acquired its hospitals from HCA Healthcare for $750 million. Today it employs more than 13,000 people, including over 1,300 physicians and advanced practice providers, giving it more departments and specialties than a small clinic.
