Pantera Capital
Hiring · 8 open jobsGeneral information
Pantera Capital is an asset manager focused only on blockchain technology. It invests in venture equity in crypto startups, early-stage tokens, and liquid digital assets such as Bitcoin. It was the first U.S. institutional asset manager to focus only on blockchain. The company is based in Menlo Park, United States.
Pantera Capital was founded in 2013 in San Francisco by Dan Morehead, formerly the head of global macro trading at Tiger Management. That year, Pantera launched the first institutional investment fund built around Bitcoin, and the fund returned about 250 percent a year on average through 2017. As of 2025, Pantera manages about $5 billion, making it one of the largest digital asset funds in the world. That early bet on Bitcoin is why Pantera is now one of the biggest names in crypto investing.
