General information

Perforce makes DevOps tools for software teams. Its main product is P4, also called Helix Core, for version control. Helix IPLM manages product data. Delphix automates test data, BlazeMeter and Perfecto test software, and Puppet automates IT systems. The company serves more than 20,000 customers, including 75% of Global 500 companies, from its base in Minneapolis.

Christopher Seiwald, a UC Berkeley computer science graduate, started Perforce in 1995 in Alameda, California. Since April 2019, the private equity firms Clearlake Capital and Francisco Partners have owned the company equally. It now employs about 1,800 people. That means the tools many large companies use to build software are now run by investors, not by the founder.

Currently, there's a total of 14 job openings at Perforce. Over the last 30 days, 14 jobs were added and 12 were removed (job postings usually stay up ~22 days before being removed).1
