General information

Permian Resources is an independent oil and natural gas company. It focuses on acquiring, optimizing and developing oil and natural gas properties in the Permian Basin. The company is the second largest pure-play E&P operator in the Permian Basin, with approximately 535,000 net leasehold acres. It trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PR. Permian Resources is based in Denver, Colorado.

Permian Resources was formed in 2022 through the merger of Centennial Resource Development and Colgate Energy. That merger created one of the largest operators focused only on the Permian Basin, giving employees a concentrated bet on a single US shale region rather than a global energy portfolio.1
