P&G was founded in 1837 by William Procter and James Gamble in Cincinnati. It is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker PG and ranks 51st on the Fortune 500 list. In 2025 it reported $84.28 billion in revenue and employed 109,000 people worldwide, with 21 of its brands each selling more than a billion dollars a year.
