Tim Ellis and Jordan Noone started Relativity Space in 2015. In March 2025, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt became CEO and took a controlling interest in the company. Relativity Space now has about 2,000 employees across five U.S. locations, and has sold more than 3 billion dollars in launch contracts before flying a single rocket.
