SambaStack is an integrated system that combines AI models and agents in one stack. RDU, short for Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit, is its custom AI chip, and SambaRack is the data center hardware built around it. SambaNova is based in Palo Alto, California.
SambaNova has raised $1 billion in new funding at an $11 billion valuation, in a round led by General Atlantic. That funding lets the company build its own computer chips, called RDUs, instead of only buying chips from other companies for its AI systems. SambaNova is a top-tier H-1B sponsor.1
