Scopely was founded in March 2011 by Walter Driver, Ankur Bulsara, Eytan Elbaz, and Eric Futoran. It employs approximately 3,000 people as of 2025. Since 2023, Scopely has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's Savvy Games Group, which paid $4.9 billion for it.
