Market Insights covers forecasts for more than 1,000 markets, and Consumer Insights offers survey data from over 3 million interviews across 56 countries. Statista Connect is an API that lets businesses pull this data into their own systems. Statista is based in Hamburg, Germany.

Statista was founded in 2007 in Hamburg. Since 2015 it has been majority owned by Ströer Media, which holds an 81.3% stake, with Marc Berg as CEO. As of 2025 it had about 1,450 employees and generated around €167 million in revenue in 2024, serving more than 4 million registered users.
