Terex makes materials processing machinery, waste and recycling equipment, mobile elevating work platforms, and equipment for the electric utility industry, sold worldwide. It works through four segments: Specialty Vehicles, Materials Processing, Environmental Solutions, and Aerials, with over 30 customer-facing brands, including Genie and Powerscreen.

George A. Armington founded the company in 1933, after earlier founding the Euclid Company. Terex is a public company on the NYSE under the ticker TEX, based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Full-year 2025 net sales reached $5.4 billion, and the company has returned $2.1 billion to shareholders through repurchases and dividends since 2015. In 2024 it had 11,400 employees, revenue of $5.13 billion, and operating income of $526 million.
