TPG was founded in 1992 as Texas Pacific Group by David Bonderman, James Coulter, and William S. Price III. It has been publicly traded on Nasdaq under the ticker TPG since January 2022. As of June 30, 2026, the firm manages $327 billion in assets, runs 30 offices worldwide, and employs over 1,900 people, including more than 700 investment and operations professionals.
