Travelport is based in Langley, in the United Kingdom.
Travelport was formed in 2001, when Cendant combined the companies it had bought, including Galileo GDS and CheapTickets. It is now privately owned by the investment firms Elliott Management and Davidson Kempner, who bought it in a $4.4 billion deal in 2019. Travelport reported $1.5 billion in revenue in 2025 and employs about 2,000 people. That means it operates independently, owned by investment firms rather than as part of a larger corporation.
