Udio is an AI music generator that creates music from text prompts. Its beta version launched publicly on April 10, 2024, offering users 600 free songs a month. The company was founded in December 2023 by four former Google DeepMind researchers, David Ding, Conor Durkan, Charlie Nash and Yaroslav Ganin, along with Andrew Sanchez.
Udio raised seed funding from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, musicians will.i.am, Tay Keith and Common, and Instagram cofounder Mike Krieger.1
