Broadridge was spun out from Automatic Data Processing in March 2007 and has run as an independent company since then. It now employs about 14,000 people, processes about 350 billion shares, and handles proxy services for around 80% of outstanding shares in the United States. That scale means the company plays a role in most stock trades and shareholder votes in the country, work that most investors never see directly. Historically, the median salary is ~$137,500.1
