Fastned

Fastned operates a network of ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles across Europe, including cars, vans, motorcycles and trucks. It runs more than 400 charging stations with over 2,660 charge points. Drivers use the Fastned app to find a station and start charging automatically. The company is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Fastned was founded in February 2012 by Michiel Langezaal and Bart Lubbers, son of former Dutch Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers. Its first stations opened in November 2013. By 2023 it ran 297 stations in nine countries, with 204 employees and €60.5 million in revenue. It is publicly traded on Euronext Amsterdam and Nxchange. That means anyone can buy shares in a company built to make electric road trips possible across Europe.
