Petronas

Petronas is Malaysia's fully integrated energy company, based in Kuala Lumpur. It explores for and produces oil and gas. Petronas also refines oil, makes petrochemicals, and trades liquefied natural gas (LNG). It runs gas processing and distribution, plus retail fuel and lubricant stations.

Petronas was set up on 17 August 1974. The Malaysian federal government owns all of it, as the sole shareholder. The company had about 47,669 employees and made $73.01 billion in revenue in 2023. The government keeps full control instead of selling shares to outside investors.

Currently, there's a total of 481 job openings at Petronas. Over the last 30 days, 705 jobs were added and 257 were removed (job postings usually stay up ~14 days before being removed).¹
