Vast builds commercial space stations, using an approach built around real hardware rather than lab testing alone. Its customers are government space agencies, including NASA and the European Space Agency, plus private researchers who need microgravity research. Haven-1 is its first station, set to launch in 2027 with room for 4 crew members, and Haven-2 is a larger, permanent station meant to replace the International Space Station. Haven Demo, an earlier test station, launched in November 2025. Vast is based in Long Beach, California.
