Reitmans was founded in 1926 by Herman and Sarah Reitman, and the company is still Montreal-based today. In 2023 it employed 6,812 people and generated about CA$800.6 million in revenue. That year, Andrea Limbardi became president and CEO, the first person from outside the founding family to hold that role.
